DONATE USED TEXTBOOKS TO FAIRPRICE SHARE-A-TEXTBOOK 2010
Hi all,
Our school is participating in the FairPrice Share-A-Textbook project.
This is one of NTUC FairPrice's programme that is implemented every year. This evergreen project has three main objectives: help needy students, protect the environment and encourage thrift. Launched in 1983, the FairPrice Used Textbooks Project has since helped more than 130,000 needy students save more than $9 million in textbook expenses, through the collection of over 1.8 million textbooks.
Into its 28th year, they have given the project a new branding – FairPrice Share-A-Textbook. With this new branding, they hope to heighten awareness of this project so as to reach out to more needy students.
The collection period in our school is from 8th November to 12th November. Please ask your child to pass to me the textbook(s) that you would like to donate.
Thank you for your kind donations.

Helping young children deal with anger
Dear parents,
Sometimes, some of us struggle in helping children manage their anger and deal with their emotions, especially when something happens that causes them to feel angry. Some children may resort to shouting at the person they are angry at and others may even physically hurt the person who provoked them. As such, it is important that they are taught from a very young age how to deal with their anger issues so that they do not flare up so easily and learn to react appropriately to situations that may arise in future.
I found these websites to be quite useful in helping children manage their anger. http://www.athealth.com/Consumer/issues/childsanger.html

I hope they will be of use to you as well.
